Alice is a co-founder and Director of 4Sight and oversees the company's climate change and sustainability services, provides oversight of the Land and Water Quality, and Environmental Risk teams, and is the Māori Sector Lead. She consults on environmental management matters for local government, iwi and private clients.

 

As an Environmental Engineer, her technical specialty lies in assessing and managing the environmental impact of pollutant discharges on land quality, water quality and communities. Specifically, her work focuses on the consenting of onsite and rural water and wastewater discharges. Her passion lies with working alongside iwi to protect the environment and freshwater quality.

 

A huge proponent for sustainability, Alice has spoken on key issues at several major events – such as the Massey University College of Sciences and Māori Capping Ceremonies. In addition, she champions and has presented on Vision 2050 a Sustainable Business Council initiative to transform New Zealand business and create a more sustainable New Zealand by 2050. 

 

Alice is a trustee of the board for the not for profit registered charity that governs the Tread Lightly Caravan (TLC). A mobile environmental classroom, full of interactive exhibits that visits schools and community events to inspire young New Zealanders to live a more sustainable life. 

 

Alice has a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from Massey University. She is an Advisory Panel Member for the Bachelor of Engineering Industry Sustainable Processing Cluster which assists in improving the Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering Major).

Her interest lies in delivering resource management solutions that recognise the spiritual and cultural values that relate to our connection to, and use of natural and physical resources. This year she has committed to increasing her Māori language skills and is currently completing Level 2 Te Reo Māori (Kura Po) at Unitec, Te Whare Wananga o Wairaka. 

Alice grew up in Gisborne and Wellington and now lives in Auckland. No Ngāti Toa, Ngāti Koata, me Ngai Tahu. Ki te taha o toku papa ko Ngāti Ranginui te iwi.
