Alice is passionate about our natural environment and loves being able to make a difference in her day-to-day work.
Alice started with the 4Sight team in March 2021 as a Planning and Policy Consultant based in our Gisborne office.
With five years’ experience in local government, at both the Whakatane District Council and the Gisborne District Council, Alice has a sound understanding of both consents and policy. She has developed a particular interest in natural hazards policy after working on the Awatarariki Fanhead private plan change at the Whakatane District Council and is passionate about the intersection between planning and climate change, specifically around managed retreats for coastal areas.
In her current role, Alice prepares and processes resource consents (for clients and on behalf of council), provides planning advice to clients and stakeholders, and assesses statutory requirements. She has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning with Honours from Massey University.
Alice loves surfing and is a volunteer surf coach for the Gisborne Board Riders Club. She also volunteers for Good Bitches Baking (GBB) and recently has been getting into permaculture and is working towards having a food forest in her back yard.
