Our Ecology team is passionate about New Zealand’s wildlife. Their sound knowledge of botany, plant ecology, wetlands and ecological management is not just the result of years of experience, but they live and breathe ecology – it makes them tick – and we’re on the lookout for someone similar.

Calling all experienced Ecologists wanting to work across a range of New Zealand ecosystems and habitats delivering sustainable outcomes for clients and the environment alike - our Ecology team is growing, and we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Ecologist to join the 4Sight Consulting team. Interested in the type of project work we have done in the past? Check out some of our Ecology Proof Points for more information.

With proven consultancy experience, we’re seeking a driven Ecologist who considers themselves a pragmatic, motivated and dynamic individual, who has what it takes to deliver a range of projects from conception to completion. A passion for ecology is a must and a sound knowledge of ecological management with relevant field experience across a range of ecosystems, habitats and taxa is essential. Expertise in freshwater or terrestrial ecology in the New Zealand Environment is also vital, with a knowledge in both being our preference.

Our expectation is that the successful candidate will be experienced in scientific field work, technical reporting, project management and has strong client relationship management skills. They will be self-motivated and enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of our Ecology services and will have a relevant tertiary qualification, more than 5 years consultancy experience and a well-developed professional network.

Working alongside the Senior Management team and company Directors, the successful candidate will assist 4Sight in achieving its vision for the Ecology team and increasing its market reach. Not to mention mentoring our enthusiastic Junior Ecologists.

If you embrace balanced environmental outcomes, seek solutions that maintain environmental integrity, want to be a leader in your field and work with a team of like-minded individuals in an established, but still growing New Zealand owned, award winning consultancy, please apply via our online form. For more information or to have a confidential discussion please contact Michael Lindgreen by e-mail (michaell@4sight.co.nz) or mobile 027 700 7600.
