Due to the on-going growth of SLR Consulting within our Asia-Pacific Region (APAC) we are currently seeking a Commercial Accountant based in Auckland to join our team. As a rapidly growing consultancy with circa 650 employees in APAC (160 of those in New Zealand) and counting, this is a great opportunity for someone to grow their financial skills with us as we continue to develop our NZ operations! We are a planning and environmental consultancy that embraces sustainable and environmental excellence and leadership in our wide-ranging projects.
We’re committed to finding the best people in the industry to help guide our company into the future, because it’s the people that make us who we are and set us apart from the competition.
You will be someone who is used to telling the story of the numbers through comprehensive reporting and adding value through improvement. Reporting to the Finance Manager, and being an integral member of the finance function, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial transactions with particular focus on the cash, receivables and payables cycles, as well as the preparation of monthly reconciliations, and of financial and operational reports.
You will also be assisting our professional consulting team with project financial information, and be able to reconcile all revenue and cost transactions particularly at project close out. A key component of the role will be building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and suggesting and implementing process improvements with the support of the Finance Manager.
It goes without saying that your attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines will be second to none, ensuring that all financial controls are adhered to. Your aim is to ensure all financial processes are efficient, accurate and focused on adding value to support the 4Sight/SLR team and its professional image. You will be a person who naturally collaborates with others understanding that this is the best way to achieve quality outputs and success for the business.
