David looks to create spaces that enhance our environment and have a unique sense of place.

David joined the 4Sight team in November 2020 as a Landscape Architect based in our Tāmaki Makaurau office. As a Wellingtonian at heart, he also covers our project base in Te Whanganui-a-tara working closely with our wider team.
Prior to joining 4Sight, David worked in Queenstown working on a variety of projects across the Queenstown-Lakes District including high-end residential landscape design, master planning residential and commercial subdivisions, and public space/streetscape design.

David works on a variety of projects at 4Sight, including master planning urban, rural, and residential subdivisions, on-lot residential landscapes, public park reserves, revegetation projects, and involved in our company renewable energy offerings. David has experience drafting design guidelines and landscape visual assessments for proposed developments that have had complex ecological systems, highly visible, and enhancement opportunities. David is able to design and masterplan such developments creatively to limit these adverse implications across sensitive landscapes.

His interests within Landscape Architecture encompasses designing at an intimate scale to enhance public life, ecology, and the surrounding environment. From that outset, David believes we can create a community, public space, or masterplan for an area that has a long-lasting legacy.
When he’s not in the office, David is heavily involved in charitable work for an organisation called Kids Camps New Zealand - a charity devoted to assisting children aged between 7-11 who have come from situations of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. He also enjoys immersing himself in the outdoors, getting stuck into community plant days, going on adventures involving camping or hiking, and enjoys basketball on the court and from the comfort of the couch.

David is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects and is currently working towards gaining his registration.
