Emma strongly believes if you put people at the heart of your organisation, the business outcomes will grow and flourish.
Emma is a People and Culture leader with over 15 years’ experience in strategic business partnering. She has a passion for building high-performing teams, developing leadership capability, nurturing and growing talent and organisation culture. She thrives on seeing the benefits of investment in people and culture to create a high-performing organisation.
As New Zealand’s People and Culture Lead, Emma’s focus is on the successful integration with SLR from a people and culture perspective. Emma is also responsible for driving employee engagement, culture, and capability by partnering with the business on a broad range of policies, programs and practices.
Emma grew up in Scotland before settling in Auckland in 2007, which she now calls home. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her whānau and friends.
Being physically and mentally well is important to Emma, and she enjoys running, the occasional weight workout and has completed some of the great walks around Aotearoa.
Emma is interested in New Zealand culture and has recently started to learn te reo Māori to understand more about Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te ao Māori.
