Do you have: 
  • 5+ years of experience in an environmental consulting and asbestos management role

  • Proven experience in environmental consulting, specifically contaminated land and asbestos management

  • Expertise in a wider range of environmental risk management would be beneficial

  • A WorkSafe issued Asbestos Assessor License and experience in asbestos surveying, reporting and management

  • An asbestos qualification such as BOHS IP 402, BOHS IP404, and/or BOHS IP405, would be ideal

  • Effective project and client relationship management skills and a drive to consistently deliver client’s needs.

We’re looking for a Dunedin based Environmental Consultant who is up for a challenge and keen to get involved with a diverse range of environmental services and projects. We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our national Environmental Services team.

Working alongside a vibrant team, as the successful candidate, you will be assisting in maintaining and growing 4Sight’s vision for the Environmental team, and our market reach through Otago and the wider South Island, by providing exceptional client and project management services to our expanding client base.

Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience in an environmental consulting and asbestos management role. You will have a demonstrated aptitude in all aspects of environmental consulting, including the ability to work independently in the field, collate and compile data into accurate deliverables, and skills in working alongside contractors and clients.

We have a diverse mix of clients so having excellent interpersonal skills is key with a calm and confident communication style. You will be resilient and be able to adapt your approach whilst having a good sense of humour, a strong work ethic and skills to work collaboratively within a highly motivated team. It is also important that you have an aptitude for business development as you are the face of 4Sight onsite.

Your key responsibilities would include: 

  • Working closely alongside and in collaboration with 4Sight staff, clients, asset owners and property partners to conduct fieldwork, including the collection of soil and water samples, conducting asbestos surveys, and providing asbestos supervision and clearance;  

  • Providing sound technical advice on best practice solutions and creating positive outcomes for our clients;

  • Assisting in managing a broad range of client requirements and conducting business development along with technical project delivery;

  • Preparation of technical reports and management plans; and

  • Assisting with the development of the Environmental Services team within Otago and the wider South Island.
