Environmental Consultant

Do you have: 
  • Relevant degree in environmental services, environmental science or similar.

  • 2-4 years of experience in an environmental services/ contaminated land or closely related role.

  • Consulting experience preferable.

  • Ability to work effectively alongside contractors and clients.

  • Experience on a range of environmental projects.

  • A sound understanding of effective environmental management principles and environmental legislation and guidelines, including resource consents.

  • A drive to consistently deliver to meet client’s needs and exceed expectations.

  • It would be beneficial for you to have experience with stakeholder engagement and management, including with Council, iwi, stakeholder and industry groups.

At 4Sight - Part of SLR, we embrace sustainable and environmental excellence and leadership in our wide-ranging projects and are committed to finding the best people in the industry to help guide the company into the future.  We're now looking for a full time (permanent) Environmental Consultant to join us.  Working within our dedicated team based in the Waikato, as the successful candidate you will work on a range of innovative projects across New Zealand and will assist us in achieving our purpose to make sustainability happen by balancing the needs of land, people and water. 

​We’re looking for someone who believes in better and has a passion for Environmental Services. We’d love to hear from you if you have existing skills in contaminated land management, hazardous materials management, or broader compliance projects.

 

As well as supporting our existing team to deliver a diverse range of environmental service and contaminated land projects, you will be facilitating your own project work, and providing on the ground pragmatic advice to clients and contractors alike. You will be developing your environmental compliance knowledge and skills within the broader 4Sight – Part of SLR team and ensuring you are working collaboratively with both client and internal people to deliver the right solutions.  Ideally you will have a demonstrated aptitude in all aspects of environmental consulting, including the ability to work independently in the field, collate and compile data into accurate deliverables, and skills in working alongside contractors and clients. Finally, problem solving, relationship management, project work and self leadership are the key attributes you will bring to this role as well as your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and most definitely a sense of humour!
