Do you have: 
  • Proven environmental compliance experience

  • Experience on large scale construction projects, including development and implementation of EMPs, ESCPs, environmental management systems, and onsite training and education

  • A sound understanding of practical environmental management principles and environmental legislation and guidelines, including resource consent conditions

  • Ideally, health and safety management and compliance experience

  • Effective project and client relationship management skills and a drive to consistently deliver client’s needs

  • Stakeholder engagement and management, including with Council, iwi, and industry groups

Do you want to join a New Zealand consultancy that is just a little bit different? We’re looking for an Environmental Management Specialist that is up for a challenge and keen to get involved with a diverse and exciting range of environmental compliance and management services and projects across New Zealand.

Working alongside a vibrant team, as the successful candidate, you will be assisting us in maintaining and growing 4Sight’s vision for our Environmental Services team and our market reach by providing exceptional service and value to our clients.

Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience in an environmental management/compliance role, preferably with consulting experience, including the ability to work independently in the field, collate and compile data into accurate deliverables, and skills in working alongside contractors and clients to break down the complexities of environmental compliance. You should also be able to provide on the ground, pragmatic advice to clients and contractors alike, and bring your skills in health and safety compliance and management, including implementation of health and safety management systems.

We have a diverse mix of clients so having excellent interpersonal skills is key with a calm and confident communication style. You will be resilient and be able to adapt your approach whilst having a good sense of humour, a strong work ethic and skills to work collaboratively within a highly motivated team. It is important that you have an aptitude for business development as you are the face of 4Sight with clients and onsite.

Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Leading a small team to deliver a multi-year environmental compliance program within the Auckland Region

  • Supporting a range of environmental compliance projects throughout the country

  • Advising our clients on a range of environmental compliance and management projects, including site management, compliance and risk reviews, systems development and implementation, and monitoring and reporting

  • Providing environmental compliance training packages to frontline construction staff

  • Assisting with development and implementation of health and safety controls for both clients and within 4Sight

  • Providing sound technical advice on best practice solutions and creating positive outcomes for our clients
