Fiona IS a HIGHLY EXPERIENCED Planner, AND WITH HER INNATE EFFICIENCY, SHE IS SOMEONE CLIENTS CAN GO TO FOR THE RIGHT ADVICE AND SKILLED SUPPORT THROUGHOUT ALL PLANNING PROCESSES.

​​Friendly and approachable, Fiona started with the 4Sight team in June 2021 as a Senior Planning and Policy Consultant based in our Tauranga office. 

Fiona brings a wealth of local Bay of Plenty knowledge to the team, having lived and worked in the region for several years and has formed lasting relationships with key stakeholders across various professions. She has 20+ years of planning experience, and therefore, a thorough understanding of all relevant legislative requirements. Her customer-focused approach and knowledge of ‘both sides of the fence’ means clients are always fully informed of the processes, requirements, risks, and opportunities associated with their project. She enjoys helping people achieve what they want whilst also ensuring good outcomes for the environment.

 

Fiona has worked extensively in both local and regional government, the private planning sector, and within other Crown entities. She has developed experience over a wide range of resource consent, policy development, and analysis matters and has represented clients and Councils at hearings and Environment Court mediations. She is also proficient at community and stakeholder engagement, planning feasibility assessments, and planning compliance.


She studied at Otago University, completing a BA in Geography in 1988 and a Masters of Regional and Resource Management in 1990 and is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute.
