Gavin McCullagh 

Gavin enjoys problem solving in the strategic policy realm and working closely with clients for high quality results. 

Gavin joined 4Sight in August 2022 as a Principal Planner in the Planning team, based in our Dunedin office. His primary focus is on analysis and development of resource management policy, climate change adaptation, and stakeholder engagement in urban and regional planning. 

 

Gavin has over twenty-five years’ experience in strategic policy development, land use planning and resource management in New Zealand and Australia. In New Zealand since 2017, Gavin has managed planning policy teams at regional and district councils to develop plan reviews and amendments, policy submissions, planning advice, climate change assessments and stakeholder engagement. Gavin also has experience in the application of climate change policy to land use planning with a focus on adaptation and mitigation of natural hazards in Queensland and New Zealand.  

 

A permaculture gardener, Gavin enjoys growing an intensively productive home garden, and in Queensland was a volunteer caretaker of the permaculture section of the local botanic garden in Redcliffe.
