Do you have: 
  • A planning, environmental science or geography degree

  • 2+ years of resource management experience in New Zealand

  • Knowledge and experience of applying the Resource Management Act to development and infrastructure

  • A good working knowledge of district and regional planning

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

  • An aptitude for building and maintaining great relationships with clients and colleagues

  • A resilient and adaptable attitude; see yourself as a can-do person with a calm and confident communication style

We’re looking for an Intermediate to Senior Environmental Planner who believes in better and has a keen interest in RMA planning. They will have a willingness to work collaboratively to deliver outstanding projects and enjoy having a laugh because although we take our commitment to the business and the environment seriously, we still like to have a lot of fun along the way. 

As a national planning consultancy, our site visits may be off the beaten track, so a willingness to travel, whether it be by electric car, 4WD or flying, is preferred. The opportunity to be involved in a mixture of projects including, policy development, undertaking planning due diligence, assisting local councils with processing resource consents and acquiring resource consents for a range of development projects is also on offer. Therefore, demonstrated experience in local government and private sector development projects is a must.
