Joanna has worked as a Planner for over 5 years, obtaining resource consents for a wide range of activities in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Her consenting experience includes large scale photovoltaic power stations, a 7km long high-voltage cable route, multi-unit residential subdivision and housing developments, regional consents and Department of Conservation permits.
Joanna has extensive stakeholder engagement and community consultation experience, and enjoys working closely with elected representatives, community groups, government agencies, council officers and tangata whenua.
Committed to delivering high quality planning advice, Joanna has experience preparing thorough due diligence, planning risk assessment and planning compliance reports for businesses and clients.
With an academic background in environmental resource management, Joanna was included in the Dean’s List for academic excellence in 2011 and received a Research Scholarship in 2012. As part of the scholarship Joanna researched and reported on the practicalities and costs of offsetting Victoria University of Wellington’s annual carbon emission profile, through measures other than purchasing credits on the open market.
As an outdoors enthusiast, Joanna appreciates the kiwi way of life and is making the most of being back in Aotearoa.
