Jonty Wispinski 

Jonty joined 4Sight as an intern in the Planning team based in Dunedin in November 2021, and started permanently as a Graduate Planning and Policy Consultant in January 2023. Jonty processes resource consents and Assessment of Environmental Effects for local governments and private clients. 

 

Following completing a Bachelor of Science with minors in Environmental Management and Ecology, Jonty achieved a Master of Planning in 2022. He was awarded a Scholarship in Science in 2020, with the University of Otago for high academic achievement and attained the Summer Research Scholarship in the same year, where he conducted research investigating cyclone and coastal hazard mitigation in Pacific Island nations.  

 

Jonty has always been fascinated by the interaction between people and the environment, and found studying and practicing planning to be the perfect industry for him.   

 

Outside of work, Jonty hobbies include getting outdoors through mountaineering, hiking, and cycling. He also loves travelling and spending quality time with his family and friends.
