KATHERINE BRINGS A HOLISTIC PERSPECTIVE TO PLANNING BUT HER REAL PASSION LIES IN SEEING COMMUNITIES THRIVe.
Based in our Auckland office, this is Katherine’s second stint at 4Sight Consulting having previously worked for us between 2008 and 2009. She now re-joins the team in January 2020 as a Senior Planning and Policy Consultant assisting our wider Planning team with district and regional planning assessment and advice.
Katherine has over ten years of planning and construction experience in both consultancy and public sector environments and has strengths in district and regional planning assessments, project management of large complex applications, public notification hearings, client and council stakeholder liaison, as well as RMA and policy interpretation and compliance.
She was first introduced to planning while working in London in a role that involved significant community engagement and policy development. She quickly realised that she was passionate about sustainable environmental outcomes that take both the individual and the communities’ interests into consideration, and it’s what kept her in the industry ever since.
Outside of work, she volunteers for Volunteer Service Abroad, helping those within the agency to build climate-resilient communities in the Pacific Islands. She also loves to get outdoors as much as possible whether it be kayaking, hiking, camping with her kids or checking out the abundance of arts and culture Auckland city now has on offer over the summer months.
