Kurt Ridling
Being a natural problem solver, Kurt enjoys the challenges that arise in planning and navigating these for the best client outcomes.
Kurt joined 4Sight in January 2023 as a Principal Planner based in the Gisborne office. With 17 years experience across a wide range of planning roles, Kurt brings a strong background in both regional and district planning to the 4Sight team.
Before joining 4Sight, Kurt worked as a self-employed consultant for a range of local government and private clients. He has a strong background in freshwater and infrastructure planning – both at the strategic policy level and at the consenting coal face. He also has strong experience in the subdivision and development sector, being involved in feasibility studies, plan changes, resource consent applications and resource consent processing. Kurt brings significant local government experience to 4Sight, having held leadership and principal advisor roles at Gisborne District Council.
Being a problem solver by nature, Kurt enjoys the interesting and challenging issues that arise in planning projects.
Beyond work, Kurt takes advantage of the Gisborne surf and heads to Wanaka every winter for snowboarding. Otherwise, you can find him looking after his bees or creating something in his workshop.
