Lily brings a client's lens to resource consents, from a background in Planning and engagement within the transport sector
Lily joined 4Sight in October 2022 as a Planning Consultant in the Planning team, based in our Hamilton office. Lily’s role is focused on preparing resource consents and processing on behalf of local and regional councils.
Lily has a wealth of planning experience in the transport sector, having previously worked for Waka Kotahi providing third-party approvals for developments along the State Highway network nationwide, along with preparing consenting strategies as part of their Safety Improvements Programme from Northland down to Otago. She’s also worked for AECOM, where she was involved in large-scale public and stakeholder engagement on complex transport projects that the Supporting Growth Alliance were engaged on, and she was also involved with preparing the Social Impact Assessment for the South projects.
Lily also has experience in water consenting, including writing a consenting strategy and Water Management Plan for Hauraki District Council as they prepared to obtain a new take consent for the community water supply, and has also prepared some wetland reclamation consents in the Auckland Region.
Following a Bachelor of Environmental Planning with a specialisation in Freshwater Environments from the University of Waikato in 2019, Lily is currently studying part-time towards a Master of Planning.
Finding working in the Planning industry to be an ever-changing environment, with no two projects the same, Lily loves the variety that comes with consulting, and learning something new every day.
As well as her role at 4Sight and studies, she is also a committee member at the Hamilton Astronomical Society, and loves observing and learning about the night sky. Outside of this, she also spends time playing sports, especially netball, golf and tennis, and catching up with friends.
