MARK HAS A WELL-DEVELOPED PLANNING SKILL SET, AND IT’S THAT, COUPLED WITH HIS EXCELLENT PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS, THAT MAKE HIM AN ASSET TO THE TEAM.
With over a decade’s worth of experience in the planning industry, Mark joined the 4Sight team in October 2018 as a Senior Planning and Policy Consultant where his well-developed planning skill set, coupled with his excellent communication and project management skills, make him an asset to the team.
He has worked across a range of projects in both public and private sectors and has extensive experience in consents, policy and compliance, with a particularly sound grounding in minerals, waste management, and contaminated land matters as well as large scale land use development.
His recent experience includes obtaining regional, district and NESCS consents to undertake significant development on contaminated land, processing of resource consents for a range of discharges to land and water and securing resource consents for storm water and de-watering discharges from HAIL sites. He has been widely involved in analysis of Proposed Plans and Plan Changes around the country and has appeared in hearings and the Environment Court. He has also processed resource consents and undertaken compliance work for a regional authority.
Mark spent six years in England where he worked in both policy and consenting roles, dealing primarily with mineral, waste and school development. He experienced a full spectrum of minor to major planning applications in those fields, including in the areas of waste treatment, recycling and disposal.
Mark is happiest when out running, on the cricket field, and spending time with his wife and beloved Labrador.
