A surfer and guitarist, Matt loves the environment and working in an industry that allows him to get outdoors.
Matt joined the 4Sight team in October 2021 as a Graduate Environmental Consultant based in our Auckland office.
With a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from the University of Otago, Matt has experience as a field technician and expertise in compaction testing and soil sampling. Before joining 4Sight, he worked for Geotechnics on the Puhoi to Warkworth Expressway Project and volunteered for a social initiative on the North Shore called Ugly’s Produce. Matt continues to work in sales and administration for Ugly’s Produce and feels it to be one of the most rewarding experiences he has had.
In his current role at 4Sight, Matt conducts field activities and prepares technical reports to present findings. Another focus of his role is to assist with asbestos surveying, third party monitoring, and other field sampling services related to asbestos management.
He decided to become an Environmental Consultant because he cares deeply about the environment and people and loves working in an industry that enables him to combine these things. When he's not playing his guitar or spending time with family and friends, Matt also loves to surf and says it is a big part of his life.
