Megan is here to make the world a better place and believes she was always meant to be a planner
Megan joined the 4Sight team in July 2021 as a Senior Planning and Policy Consultant based in our Wellington office.
With over a decade of Planning experience and having worked in local and central government plus consultancies, Megan's knowledge is broad and covers all angles of the planning spectrum. She has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning with Honours from Massey University, and in her current role, she provides planning advice and services, including preparing applications for resource consents and submissions on Plans and Plan Changes.
Interestingly, her 4th form maths teacher suggested she would make a good planner one day, which has stuck with her. But she believes she was always meant to be in this industry, something her birthplace gives testament to as she was born in Timaru, where her parents were working on one of the South Island hydro dams.
She has always been interested in the environment, so 4Sight's values resonate with Megan. She feels it is important that her career contributes to making the world a better place – even more so now that she has become a mother to two daughters.
Growing up in Taranaki, naturally, Megan loves the beach, with her favourite spot being in New Plymouth and Kapiti coming in as a close second. She enjoys quizzes, particularly the Dominion Post and Stuff quizzes, and really wants to meet Wellington's famous Mittens the cat (aka his Royal Floofiness) one day.
