Michael is a Director of 4Sight and is responsible for the Ecological, Environmental Management and Best Practice service areas of the business. Well known for his ability to envision a solution, Michael leads many of our environmental projects and delivery teams, and has a knack for bringing together just the right talent and experience to deliver an exceptional, client-focussed result.
Michael advises public and private sector clients on a broad range of environmental, resource management and planning issues. He has over 14 years experience in land and water quality management; environmental strategy and programme development; catchment and stream management; major discharge and “global” consenting; environmental management systems; environmental compliance; environmental education and resource development; state of the environment reporting and environmental monitoring strategies. Michael is also a highly accomplished Project Manager.
Among his major career successes is a project Michael led at Metrowater Ltd, where he headed up the acquisition of city-wide network discharge consents for Auckland's stormwater and waste water drainage network. He has also held positions on several not-for-profit boards, including his role as Chairman during the establishment of a charitable society's social enterprise arm.
Michael holds a BSc in Environmental Science and a Post Graduate Diploma in Science majoring in Environmental and Resource Management from the University of Auckland.
