MICHELLE HAS A WELL-DEVELOPED PLANNING AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILL SET AND A FANTASTIC ABILITY TO DEVELOP GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND THE COUNCIL.

Michelle joined the 4Sight team in January 2019, bringing with her a comprehensive understanding of the NZ resource management statutory process. Her well-developed planning skillset, coupled with her excellent communication and project management skills, make her an asset to the team. 

Michelle has over 15 years of planning experience, a Masters of Resource and Environmental Planning (with distinction), and is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute. Michelle has extensive national and international experience, having worked in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. While her broad knowledge in resource management means she is skilled at identifying and addressing key obstacles to a project, providing solutions to ensure projects succeed, and making applications stand out for a smoother approval path.

Her expertise lies in providing strategic and consent or plan change strategy advice, Assessments of Environment Effects, consultation and iwi engagement. She also has significant experience in presenting reports and expert evidence at Council hearings and Environment Court and reviewing and making submissions on planning policy at a national, regional, and district level.

Michelle is focused on client relationships and delivering on client expectations with a positive can-do attitude.  She is passionate about development, working with clients and shaping projects to achieve the best possible results for her clients and the environment. An outdoors enthusiast, when she’s not in the office, she loves spending time with her two children, particularly at the beach, surfing, swimming, and fishing.
