Nigel is our National Planning Manager and currently heads up 4Sight’s Dunedin office. He works tirelessly to deliver our high-quality services to existing clients, as well as exploring new opportunities for us to showcase our expertise. With 20 years’ resource management experience, Nigel brings strong leadership skills to projects and an ability to foster excellent working relationships with clients and within project teams.
His specialist knowledge in project managing large Green/Brown field development projects includes dealing with development proposals in some of New Zealand’s most sensitive landscape settings and he has been involved with delivering sustainable development projects in some of London’s large-scale brownfield regeneration projects and aviation development projects at Heathrow Airport, London.
Nigel’s extensive work throughout the South Island, including projects in Queenstown, Wanaka, Dunedin, Timaru and wider Canterbury and Southland regions, has given him an excellent understanding of the integrated nature of the New Zealand planning system, and this enables him to deliver innovative solutions in the projects and processes he is involved with.
His skills aren’t just confined to planning though, and his strategic nous allows him to develop and implement innovative marketing approaches for new private sector, corporate and local body clients. Underpinning all his work is an undying passion for the environment, including the coastal environment and you will often find him in the water getting his next surfing fix.
Nigel has a Bachelor of Resource and Environmental Planning degree from Massey University and is a full member of the New Zealand Planning Institute.
