Through studying a PhD in freshwater ecology, Noah is passion about providing research to support positive change.

Noah joined 4Sight in May 2022 as an Ecology Technician in the Ecology team, based in our Dunedin office. Noah assists with processing freshwater samples and works part-time to continue his commitment to completing a PhD.

Graduating with a Degree in Ecology and a Minor in Marine Science, Noah is focusing on Freshwater Ecology for his postgraduate studies. Initially enrolled as a MSc student, his ambitious research project focusing on temporal variability in fine sediment and the impacts on freshwater ecosystems allowed him to upgrade to a PhD on a scholarship. Ultimately, he hopes his research is able to provide new information that supports positive change in the freshwater space.

With a passion for the ocean and freediving at a young age, Noah was compelled to pursue a career focused on our environment.

Noah is often wading through a river, staring into a rockpool, or frantically writing his thesis somewhere, otherwise he is likely be up Signal Hill exploring his new passion for mountain biking.
