Planning & Policy
4Sight was engaged by the Otago Community Hospice to prepare the resource consent application for their new Hospice Shop in Dunedin’s Warehouse Heritage Precinct.

Resource Consent was required in order to undertake alterations and additions to the building and to erect signage. This is because the building is a Scheduled Heritage Building and is located within a strictly controlled heritage environment that also adjoins State Highway 1.

4Sight worked closely alongside the Architects, McCoy Wixon, to not only achieve the best outcomes for the client but to also ensure the final product was a building that showcased how heritage buildings can be re-purposed to create something beautiful. The new store opened on 12 March, 2020 and is a vibrant addition to Dunedin’s Vogel Street in the heart of the Warehouse Industrial Commercial Heritage Precinct.
"4Sight planning staff provided valuable assistance to the Otago Community Hospice in securing the planning approval for our new retail premises at 127 Vogel Street. The process was largely stress-free because of the team's experience and knowledge. We felt like we were their priority. They were terrific to deal with."
