Do you have:
10+ years of experience in a People & Culture role, coupled with a relevant tertiary qualification
Experience in a professional services environment is desirable
Proven experience in business partnering, specifically in consulting, communication, negotiation and facilitation skills
The ability to successfully coach and assist our people leaders, and develop mutually meaningful relationships with them
In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks
Strong knowledge of the external People & Culture environment, including latest thinking and contemporary practices, supported by active involvement in the industry
The ability to understand the professional services environment and the best People & Culture solutions to support the business

People are central to our business, and we are looking for an experienced People & Culture Lead to guide the New Zealand business through the next phase in the 4Sight and SLR Consulting journey! With offices throughout the Asia Pacific, Europe, North America and Africa regions, SLR Consulting is one of a very small number of leading international specialist environmental consultancies, and our teams have a genuine interest in developing practical and sustainable solutions for our clients and reducing the environmental impact of our own operations. In New Zealand we have close to 200 people working out of 9 offices across the nation, and with further growth planned, this is an exciting role for the right person.
Reporting to the Head of People and Culture (P&C) APAC, you will be responsible for partnering with our NZ business leaders to drive the employee experience through engagement and culture, providing advice and solutions on any people related concerns, implementing people related initiatives, and becoming a trusted advisor across the business. You will have the professional credibility to act autonomously where needed, but be able to work collaboratively with the wider P&C team on local, regional and global needs. As a highly experienced leader in your own right, you will be able to understand the business drivers and support the implementation of strategies, policies, guidelines and programmes to build capability to assist with the future success of the NZ teams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior People & Culture professional who is looking for a role where the People Team is an integral part of the business, you are close to the decision makers, and will already have the ear of the senior leadership team. The role will suit someone who is a true generalist as you will be involved in a wide range of employee experience activities from the talent acquisition stage right through to retention and succession planning. You will be prepared to get involved whenever needed in our regular processes too, but you will be supported by our fabulous People Advisor who is keen to continue learning and developing under your guidance and leadership.
