Since joining the 4Sight team, she has been involved in a number of consent and Certificate of Compliance applications for private, corporate and local government clients, and has provided feasibility advice for a variety of projects in the North Island. She has obtained a number of rural subdivision and land use consents for a range of Gisborne and Hawkes Bay clients, including the Gisborne District Council, and assisted in the preparation of various policies and plans for territorial authorities including the Far North District Council and Gisborne District Council. She has also provided policy support on a range of central government policy development projects.
In a previous role at Gisborne District Council, Megan was heavily involved in setting up a new framework for efficiency and effectiveness monitoring, and as a result of this work, she was asked to present her findings at the Australasian Natural Hazards Conference and to contribute to Planning Quarterly Magazine.
Megan was previously seconded to the Auckland Council City Centre team, where she undertook plan checks for building consents, prepared liquor planning certificates, processed resource consents in-house, and successfully acted as a duty planner providing email, phone, and face-to-face planning advice to the public. She continues to process resource consents on behalf of the Council.
A keen equestrian, Megan loves getting outdoors and making the most of all the benefits that both Auckland and Gisborne have to offer.
