He is well versed in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including Iwi and local mana whenua, DoC, MPI, and local government.
Tony takes his holistic ecology approach into his personal life, where he enjoys a variety of outdoor pursuits including diving and exploring Auckland’s rocky reefs, catching a few snappers on the kayak, or botanising through the Waitakere’s in search of a rare specimen.
As a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP), Tony’s high professional standards and environmental ethics are recognised by the Environmental Institute of Australia and New Zealand, and he holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Environmental Science from the University of Canterbury.
