RENÈE'S DIVERSE CAREER PORTFOLIO HAS PROVEN HER EXCEPTIONAL CAPABILITIES AS A LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT AND COMMITMENT TO INNOVATION IN THE FIELD, BOTH LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY
Renèe is a Principal Landscape Architect, leading an innovative landscape urbanism team and delivering high-quality outcomes for the human and natural environments.
Renèe has been a practising landscape architect, educator and manager for the last 22 years. During that time, she’s been involved in public development, protection and community instigated projects throughout Auckland, as well as working for Councils across the country, including Wellington and Waitakere City Councils. She’s also led the Landscape and Architecture Department at Unitec Institute of Technology, before being made Dean of Construction, Infrastructure and Engineering - providing strategic project and management leadership to the University’s largest academic team.
A number of Renèe's projects have been recognised with New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects (NZILA) awards and as a result, she was made a Fellow in 2008.
Throughout her career, Renèe has reviewed landscape architecture projects and gardens (both private and public) from throughout the country in her role as a judge for a number of National (and International) competitions and awards and as a NZ Gardens Trust Assessor. She has also been a regular contributor to NZ Gardener magazine and other landscape and lifestyle publications.
Renèe is also a member of the Auckland Botanical Society, Ecological Society of New Zealand and a member of Green Roofs For Healthy Cities.
