AS A TOP-PERFORMING STUDENT OF HER MASTER OF PLANNING DEGREE, EMILY NOW HAS HER SIGHTS SET ON A STELLAR CAREER IN ENVIRONMENTAL AND URBAN PLANNING.
Emily has come on board as a planning and policy consultant, providing practical solutions to the needs and requirements of clients in both the public and private sector.
Emily spent seven years operating her own landscape design consultancy in Dunedin, where she enjoyed developing relationships with clients and other professionals. But keen for a new challenge, she returned to University in Otago in 2016. During this time she earned an 89 percent average grade throughout her studies and received a number of accolades for her achievements.
While she was a student, Emily worked as an intern at Dunedin City Council and was involved with urban land supply hearing preparation, as well as decision document drafting.
With an aptitude for both interpersonal communication and analysing data, Emily brings a well-rounded skillset to 4sight consulting.
Prior to her recent career change, Emily completed a Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Horticulture at Massey University. She was also an executive committee member of Landscaping New Zealand in 2015, where she was responsible for developing the membership base and was involved in drafting the 10-year strategic plan for the organisation.
From gardening to home DIY, drawing and painting, spending time with family and friends, and hitting the gym - Emily likes to ensure no hour of her day goes to waste.
