Stephen is a Principal Marine Ecologist with over 27 years’ experience in consulting and crown research agencies. He is passionate about using his skills and experience in marine ecology and environmental science to solve problems relating to the sustainable use of our natural resources, while helping to maintain a healthy and thriving natural environment.
Stephen has extensive experience managing and implementing a range of commercial and public-sector projects with a focus on marine benthic ecology, including assessment of ecological effects, ecological monitoring, marine biosecurity surveys, and aquaculture site assessments. He has also conducted research projects focusing on habitat enhancement, marine biodiversity and biosecurity.
Stephen has authored more than 150 peer reviewed client reports, and presented findings at various forums ranging from local government resource management hearings to international conferences. He enjoys interacting with clients/customers, and collaborating as part of a project team.
