INTEGRITY, ENTHUSIASM AND CRITICAL THINKING DRIVE JOHN TO PROBLEM SOLVE AND ACHIEVE THE BEST PLANNING AND POLICY OUTCOMES

John joined the 4Sight team in October 2018 as a Planning and Policy Consultant. He has a broad range of practical and theoretical knowledge on current planning practice, policy and legislation, preparing and writing assessments of environmental effects and the entire resource consent process.

With a Bachelor of Planning (Hons) Degree from Auckland University, John previously worked at Burton Planning Consultants where he gained experience in preparing and lodging complex resource consent applications and outlining plan of works, preparing formal submissions, submissions and evidence on Proposed Plan Changes, Reserve Management Plans and Notices of Requirements across New Zealand. John also has experience providing client consultation and management services and became an intermediate member of the NZPI in 2017.

John’s passions don’t only lie in environmental planning, policy and problem solving, he’s a skilled musician and fills his spare time writing and playing music across the country. He also actively volunteers for the Auckland Helicopter Rescue Trust, enjoys scuba diving, riding motorbikes, is a trained surf life-saver and a health and safety event manager.
