Do you have: 

  • A planning degree recognised by the New Zealand Planning Institute

  • 4+ years resource consent / planning experience in New Zealand

  • Knowledge and experience applying the Resource Management Act to development and infrastructure

  • A good working knowledge of district and regional planning and consenting

  • Experience in Council, stakeholder, iwi, and community liaison and engagement

  • An understanding of the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

And we’re not just focused on Auckland either – we have opportunities across NZ to join our driven and dynamic Planning team. We’re particularly keen to hear from you if you’re client focused, have the ability to be logical, detail oriented and highly motivated. Your communication skills will be excellent, and your aptitude for building and maintaining great relationships with clients will be second to none. You will have a keen interest in RMA planning, and most importantly, have a willingness to work collaboratively to deliver outstanding projects. You’ll also bring a great attitude with you, and will like to have a laugh because although we take our commitment to the business and the environment seriously, we still like to have a lot of fun along the way.

As a national planning consultancy, our site visits may be off the beaten track, so a willingness to travel, whether it be by electric car, 4WD or flying, is preferred. You will have the opportunity to be involved in a mixture of projects including, policy development, undertaking planning due diligence, assisting local councils with processing resource consents and acquiring resource consents for a range of development projects. Demonstrated experience in local government and private sector development projects is definitely preferred. Previous experience working with telecommunications and infrastructure resource consents would be advantageous, as would previous consultancy experience, but it’s not essential.
