Turitea Wind Farm



In 2019, 4Sight’s Emma Comrie-Thomson, began the role of Environmental Manager for the construction and installation of the 12km long 220kV transmission line which will connect an existing substation to the new infrastructure.


This project will contribute further to NZ’s sustainable, low emission future by creating more supply of renewable energy.


Emma’s role includes:


  • Ensuring compliance with the conditions of resource consent/environmental legislation;

  • The production of Management Plans for certification with various Councils - including Construction Environmental Management Plan, Site Environmental Management Plans; Construction Noise Management Plan, Construction Traffic Management Plan;

  • Compliance to all Management Plans;

  • Environmental training of the construction crews;

  • Auditing of the construction crews;

  • Adherence to Mercury’s environmental management requirements; and

  • Ensuring the environmental risks associated with the Project are adequately managed.


4Sight have also provided planning advice and ecological input to construction methodologies.
