At 4Sight - Part of SLR, we embrace sustainable and environmental excellence and leadership in our wide-ranging projects and are committed to finding the best people in the industry to help guide the company into the future. We are a growing company, and we’re now seeking a Principal Planner to come and join our national Planning team in either Auckland or Wellington.

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical input and project management of key Planning and Policy projects with a particular emphasis on working with our power and energy sector clients.  As an experienced Planner you will also be supporting other Planning workstreams across the discipline nationally, and you will be applying technical leadership internally to planning staff and externally to 4Sight/SLR’s Core Clients.

This role requires you to provide a high level of technical input and advice, assisting with resource allocation, and project management associated with Planning & Policy workstreams. This will include oversight and direction of contractual arrangements, supervision of project delivery to meet time and financial budgets and undertaking technical work while achieving the client’s needs.

As a senior member of the Planning team, you will contribute to the growth and development of the team in accordance with the company’s purpose and values, and may be asked to provide input into strategic planning processes, including the identification and development of new service offerings, and the acquisition of new customers.

We are looking for someone who can add value from day one by managing complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and to budget.

We expect that your verbal and written communication skills will be second to none, and you will be able to turn your hand to a number of different workstreams requiring input at the Principal level.

Your problem solving and technical leadership skills will be honed, and your ability to build and maintain great relationships with external clients and your colleagues goes without saying.  You will also be comfortable representing 4Sight through client contact and industry events.

Teamwork is fundamental to how we operate so being willing to positively contribute to the office and team culture will be key.  Most importantly, you’ll bring a great attitude with you, and will like to have a laugh because although we take our commitment to the business and the environment seriously, we still like to have a lot of fun along the way.

So, if the above sounds like you and you embrace sustainable and environmental excellence, want to be a leader in your field and work with a team of likeminded individuals, please apply here.

For more information or to have a confidential discussion please contact Nigel Bryce by e-mail nigelb@4sight.co.nz  or mobile 0220 478 500.

We can’t wait to hear from you and good luck!
