friendly and reliable, Samantha is an environmental consultant that believes communication is key.
Samantha started with the 4Sight team in May 2021 as a Senior Environmental Consultant based in our Christchurch office and was promoted to Principal Environmental Consultant in May 2023.
With a Master of Science in Environmental Science and a Bachelor of Science (Technology) majoring in chemistry and materials and processing, her experience includes contaminated land technical advice for regional and district council consents, management of nationally significant projects, and strong community engagement. She also has extensive experience working with the Resource Management Act and National Environmental Standard for Assessing and Managing Contaminants in Soil to Protect Human Health. Samantha achieved a certificate as a General Certified Environmental Practitioner in December 2022.
In her current role, Samantha is responsible for providing technical expertise in contaminated land management, including report delivery, project management and progressing projects predominantly related to local government and closed landfills.
Samantha is an active member of ALGA and was on the organising committee for the 2022 conference in New Zealand. Her representation in the industry and excellence was recognised in the Awards for Excellence at WasteMINZ 2023 by being jointly awarded the Terre Nicholson Contaminated Land Management Young Professional Award.
She is passionate about helping the community understand the importance of contaminated land management and producing practical, balanced solutions to contaminated land issues. When she's not in the office or out on-site, she loves to get outdoors with family and friends or be in her home garden.
