Do you have:

A Science or Engineering degree, post graduate qualification is preferable.

Proven experience in contaminated land management. Expertise in a wider range of environmental risk management would be beneficial.

Environmental consultancy experience is preferable, but not essential.

Suitably Qualified Environmental Practitioner for reporting and authorising of NES reports.

Sound project management skills and a drive to consistently deliver client’s needs.

Do you want to join a New Zealand consultancy that is just a little bit different? We’re looking for a Senior Environmental Consultant who is up for a challenge and keen to get involved with a diverse range of environmental management services and projects across New Zealand.
Working alongside a vibrant team, as the successful candidate, you will be assisting us in maintaining and growing 4Sight’s vision for the Environmental Services team and our market reach, by providing exceptional client and project management services to our expanding client base.
Specifically you will be delivering project based work on a diverse range of contaminated land and environmental issues. The role will include reporting in addition to some on site inspections and sampling works for contaminated sites. You will be required to manage projects and work within the Christchurch Environmental team and assist with the wider national Environmental team.
You will be a competent Project Manager of environmental projects and be able to manage several projects simultaneously. You will have people and coordination skills and be able to prioritise your daily workload to meet client deadlines.
Your technical report writing skills will be second to none, and importantly you will bring great interpersonal skills with a calm and confident communication style. You will be resilient and be able to adapt your approach whilst having a good sense of humour, a strong work ethic and skills to work collaboratively within a highly motivated team.
You will at times work in the field, collating and compiling data into accurate deliverables, often working alongside our clients and other contractors. The field work will include collection of soil and water samples, analysing results of those samples, and providing sound technical advice on best practice solutions, leading to and creating positive outcomes for our clients.
As this is a Senior level role, the ability to generate a substantial amount of new business per year will be required.
