4Sight, in collaboration with Landscape Designer Tony Murrell, was engaged by St Paul's Collegiate to create a masterplan vision for the school's landscape. The brief was to redesign and enhance the site for visitors, students, teachers, and the wider community.
The project team delivered a vision and a detailed design for three strategic areas - the Tihoi Walkway, the Forecourt Square, and the staff carpark.
The team designed the Tihoi Walkway as an experiential walkway containing over 200 native specimen trees. The path was also designed to be a meandering walkway that connects the students to the Chapel and provides pocket spaces for students to gather, learn, and play.
Designed as a multifunctional space, the Forecourt at the Chapel's front is a memorial space for remembering and spiritual reflection. It was designed to act as an external extension of the Chapel to allow for gathering and contemplation.
The staff carpark's design included incorporating green spaces inside and around the carpark to create a space that was aesthetically pleasing and felt pleasant to be in.
