STUART’S EXTENSIVE WORK HISTORY AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE INDUSTRY MAKES HIM A TRUSTED ADVISOR IN HIS FIELD.
Stuart is a Principal Environmental Risk and Safety Consultant with over 19 years’ experience in the sector. He has proven to be an effective project manager with experience in occupational exposure assessments (including asbestos, dust, noise & metals), asbestos surveys and management plans, asbestos air monitoring and clearances, contaminated land assessments, consultancy and advisory services, and project management of asbestos removal/remediation works. He is also a licensed asbestos assessor with Worksafe.
Having previously worked in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Australia, he relocated to Christchurch in July 2015 to work for the city’s leading asbestos consultancy and laboratory as part of the continuing post-earthquake rebuild. He led the field operations team for 6 six months then took on the laboratory operations as well. One of his biggest achievements, while there, was expanding the company into Dunedin and establishing the first IANZ accredited asbestos laboratory in the region to service the district health board contract.
Stuart then moved on to another Christchurch based consultancy to assist with and grow their environmental services, as well as add to their asbestos capabilities. During his time there, he again expanded the company into Dunedin to service the growing client base.
He initially got into the industry due to his love of the outdoors and interest in environmental issues.
