Process-driven, accurate and efficient, Tom is a Graduate environmental consultant that is honest and transparent.
Tom joined the 4Sight team as a Graduate Environmental Consultant in June 2021 based in our Christchurch office.
As an Environmental Consultant, his role primarily focuses on assisting the team with asbestos-related issues and helping with lead-based paint surveys and contaminated land projects.
Tom has a BSc in Environmental Science and Marine Biology, a Masters of Marine Conservation (MMarCon), and in his final year of undergraduate study, he got accepted onto the Dean's List for academic excellence.
Between 2018 and 2021, Tom was a Technician at Linnaeus Laboratory in Gisborne, testing soil, fruit, water and food. During his time there, he was promoted to Senior Technician and supported clients with their testing needs, helped with design trials and some business development (i.e. creating processes and reviewing testing).
Tom has always had an appreciation for the environment and the creatures that live in it. So when choosing what to study, and ultimately his line of work, he wanted to do something where he was actively helping the environment while also getting to be outdoors - something his current role enables him to do.
When he's not in the office or out in the field, he enjoys playing golf and watching sport (mostly golf, rugby, and cricket). He also enjoys going to the beach in summer and getting out on walks when the weather is good.
